Caskets for Sale in Wood, Metal & Cremation
Every casket sold factory direct. Skip the funeral home markup.
Choosing a casket is hard. Funeral homes mark them up two or three times. We don’t. Haven Casket sells funeral caskets factory direct in Toronto, the GTA, and across Canada. Families choosing cremation can also browse our cremation urns. Pick wood, metal, or a cremation casket. You pay the outlet price.
In Ontario you can buy your casket from an independent supplier. By law, a funeral home cannot charge extra for a casket you bought elsewhere. This is set out in Ontario Regulation 30/11, section 24(1). We deliver to GTA funeral homes and coordinate the handoff directly. Just let them know before you sign. A funeral home may decline a casket in limited cases. It may refuse one it considers unsafe or inappropriate for its intended use. It may also refuse one that does not meet the cemetery or crematorium requirements. Visit our Markham showroom to see them in person. We deliver same day or next day to any funeral home in the GTA.
From $1,590. For burial or cremation. Funeral homes and crematoriums across Ontario widely accept wood caskets.

What to think about when choosing a casket?
Material
Wood and metal are the two main choices for burial caskets. Wood offers a warmer, more traditional appearance, while metal offers a choice of finishes and interior colours. For cremation services, dedicated cremation caskets are also available.
Size
Standard casket sizing works for most adults, but it is important to confirm dimensions before ordering when needed. We can help you choose the right fit with clear pricing.
Interior lining
Interior linings are commonly available in satin or velvet finishes, often in cream, white, or ivory tones. If you have a specific preference, let us know and we will do our best to match it.

FAQ
Can I buy a casket without going through a funeral home?
Yes. Families in Ontario can buy a casket from an independent provider like Haven Casket instead of purchasing funeral home caskets directly from the funeral home. We can coordinate delivery to the funeral home when needed.
How much can I save buying direct?
Families typically save about $3,862 on an 18 gauge steel casket. That is based on published 2026 GTA funeral home price lists and Haven’s September 2026 catalogue price. Those lists put an 18 gauge steel casket at $4,365 to $6,055, while Haven sells one for $1,890. What you pay depends on the material, design, and size you choose, and you see the price before you commit. To understand funeral pricing in Ontario, read our report: The Real Cost of a Funeral in Ontario (2026).
Do you deliver outside the GTA?
Yes. We deliver across Ontario and Canada. For areas outside the GTA, call us with your location, and we will give you a clear timeline.
Do you offer cheap caskets in Canada?
We offer affordable caskets in Canada with transparent pricing, but we avoid low quality products. Families searching for cheap caskets Canada wide are usually looking for fair pricing, reliable delivery, and good quality without funeral home markups.
Do you sell coffins?
If by coffin you mean a casket, yes. In Canada, families often use the two words to mean the same thing. A traditional coffin has six sides, widens at the shoulders, and narrows toward the head and feet. Haven sells wood, metal and cremation caskets, not traditional six sided coffins. Families searching for coffins for sale can view our factory direct casket options in our showroom. Read our guide on the difference between a casket and a coffin for the full comparison.
Choosing a casket is a deeply personal decision. Our goal is to make the practical side of the process simpler, clearer, and less stressful, so you can focus on your family and the service ahead. Browse the collections above or contact us directly for respectful guidance with no pressure
