A Shape of Love in Lasting Granite
The heart is one of our most requested custom shapes. Families choose it for a spouse, a parent or a child. It says something a rectangle cannot. We cut hearts as a single heart for one person, or a double heart for a couple. You can see carved granite in person at our Markham showroom.

Single Heart Headstones
A single heart marks one person. The whole stone is cut into the form of a heart. It sits on a granite base. It can stand upright or sit on a slant base. It takes the same engraving as any monument: names, dates, a short message and carved detail.
Double Heart and Companion Heart Monuments
A double heart carries two names side by side, one heart for each person. It is a companion monument. Couples plan it together, or a family uses it to mark both parents. The two hearts can sit level or stacked, with carved flowers joining them.
Hearts with Carved Roses
Hearts pair naturally with carved roses. A rose spray can run along the curve of the heart. It can also join the two hearts of a companion stone. The carving shapes the granite itself, so the detail lasts as long as the stone. See how it is done in our guide to monument engraving methods.

Granite Colours for Heart Headstones
Hearts are shaped in the same granites as our other monuments. Indian Red makes the form stand out. Light Grey and Black show carved roses and lettering clearly. In stock colours like Grey and Black are usually faster. Rarer colours can add time. Compare them in our granite colour guide.

A heart is an irregular shape. How big you can go depends on your cemetery. Each one sets its own size limits, and they measure monuments in different ways. Height limits apply in some sections. We confirm the rule that applies to your plot before any design work begins.
Heart Headstone Pricing
A heart is a custom shaped stone. Custom monument work at Haven starts at $2,500. The final price depends on the size of the stone, single or double heart, the granite colour and the carved detail. Double hearts are companion monuments. They are quoted by size, with two inscriptions.
Our prices are significantly lower than what most cemeteries in the GTA charge for the same quality. We sell direct to families. There is no cemetery markup built into the price. Our monument cost guide gives the full breakdown.
Ordering a Heart Headstone in the GTA
Start at our Markham showroom, or call us at 905-604-7555. Bring a photo if you have seen a heart design you love. We will quote a matching piece.
We confirm your cemetery’s rules first. Then you approve the design before production starts. A custom heart monument takes about 8 to 12 weeks from approval to installation. Every custom monument includes free delivery and installation across the Greater Toronto Area.
